- Photos of wine labels (temporarily processed for identification, then deleted)

We automatically collect:
- App interaction data (features used, regions explored)
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- Technical data required for app functionality
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
- Track your wine exploration progress and regional conquests
- Identify wines from label photos using AI technology
- Display your wine journey on interactive maps
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Send important updates about the App (with your consent)

3. WINE LABEL PHOTO PROCESSING
When you upload a photo of a wine label:
- The photo is temporarily sent to Google Gemini AI for label recognition
- Wine information may be fetched via SerpApi to provide accurate details
- Photos are automatically deleted after processing and are NOT permanently stored
- We do not retain copies of your wine label photos
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
4.1 Supabase
- Purpose: Secure data storage and user authentication
- Data shared: Account information, wine entries, user progress

5. DATA RETENTION
- Account information: Retained while your account is active
- Wine entries: Retained until you delete them or close your account
- Wine label photos: Automatically deleted immediately after processing
- Usage data: Retained for up to 2 years for analytical purposes
6. DATA SECURITY
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS)
- Secure password storage (hashing and salting)
- Regular security assessments
- Limited access to personal data
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
